Overview

Oliver Biggers, MD, is a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon and board-certified general surgeon who has over thirty years practice experience in colon and rectal surgery primarily at Overlake Hospital. Since his fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic, he has developed a vast experience in the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. He is an expert in colonoscopic techniques, management treatment of complex inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s and Chronic Ulcerative Colitis, colorectal carcinoma, fecal incontinence and benign and malignant diseases of the anus.

He utilizes advanced techniques in colorectal surgery, including laparoscopic surgery, laparoscopic colectomy, trans-anal excision of rectal benign and malignant tumors, ileal pouch anal anastomosis for inflammatory bowel disease, trans-anal excision of benign and malignant lesions and treatment of hemorrhoids, fistulae, fissures and other benign diseases if the anus and rectum.

Dr. Biggers’ philosophy is to treat every patient as a loved member of his family. He is married with two grown children and two grandchildren. He loves outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
