Overview
Charles Birnbach, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He specializes in treatment for macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, and performs surgery for many conditions including retinal detachment, epiretinal membrane, and macular hole.
He is a past president of the Washington Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and currently serves on the board of the Washington Ambulatory Surgery Center Association. He participates in clinical trials with other members of Proliance Retina.
Dr. Birnbach lives in Seattle with his wife, who is a pediatric nephrologist at Seattle Children’s Hospital. They have a son and twin boys. He loves to golf and waterski in his limited spare time.
