Overview

Ronald V. Gregush, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine and has a particular interest in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee, and ankle.

As an active runner, hiker, and skier, he loves being able to enjoy everything the beautiful Pacific Northwest has to offer. For that reason, he particularly enjoys working with patients who are active and looking to return to the level of activity they had before they experienced their orthopedic setback. Whether a patient is a 16-year-old soccer player, a 33-year-old marathon runner, a 50-year old who enjoys walking, or a 65-year-old who wants to throw the ball with grandkids, he will take the time to sit down with his patients to figure out why they are having trouble doing the things they want to be doing, and together he and his patients will come up with the best solution. Each patient is different and he believes it is his job to get to know each one, listen to any concerns, understand any expectations, and provide his patients with the best surgical and non-surgical options for getting them back to being active and enjoying their life.

During his fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute, he had the opportunity to train with some of the pioneers of shoulder arthroscopy. He received extensive training in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle. While completing his orthopedic surgery residency at Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, he worked with the team physicians of the St. Louis Rams, St. Louis Blues, and St. Louis Cardinals. He has also conducted research on arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and ankle, which has been published and presented at national and international conferences.

In his spare time, Dr. Gregush enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. His hobbies include snow skiing, water skiing, hiking, and running. He also speaks fluent Slovak.
