Overview
Dawei Lu, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in adult degenerative conditions of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. His area of special interest is minimally invasive spine surgery. He utilizes the latest technology and current knowledge to help patients with a wide spectrum of spine problems through surgical and non-surgical means. He emphasizes selecting the least invasive technique to address a patient’s condition based on their age, pathology, and symptoms.
Dr. Lu is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. He was born and raised in New Orleans. He enjoys downhill skiing, mountain and road cycling, boating, and fishing.
