Overview
Douglas D. Nowak, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of sports-related injuries. He is interested in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee. He was the first orthopedic surgeon in Everett trained to perform arthroscopic surgery of the hip. Dr. Nowak has been involved in sports throughout his life, so he understands the athletic mentality and strives to get his patients back to the field as soon as possible.
He enjoys a very active lifestyle running, hiking, skiing and snowshoeing. He has completed 13 marathons and seven Ironman Triathlons, including the Hawaii Ironman World Championship and the Half Ironman World Championship, in olympic and sprint amateur triathlon distances. He enjoys treating patients with similar active lifestyles and athletic interests.
